Students are also academically prepared in basic psychology courses such as Introductory Psychology, Personality and Social Development, and Abnormal Psychology. The third aspect of the core courses is a three semester rotation through community-based drug and alcohol Field Work courses, coordinated and taught by a faculty member, in cooperation with facilities in the community. These fieldwork courses are related to the student's special interest in addiction studies counseling career.
