Have completed at least 12 months of graduate podiatric medical training.  Have not been convicted of a crime nor have been subject to disciplinary sanctions that would interfere with the ability to carry out professional duties. Have proper malpractice insurance. Pass successfully the board-administered examination. Pay all examination and application fees. Podiatrists must apply for a certificate as a supervising podiatrist in order to employ a podiatrist's assistant.
