The student will be trained on an overview of the dental profession. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of dental radiology. Completion of this course will not permit the student to perform radiological procedures, nor be eligible for licensure in Dental Radiology until they have successfully completed a Board accredited dental radiology program, have passed the licensing examination and have applied for and received a license. Coursework completed cannot be transferred into a Board accredited dental radiography program. The introduction to dental assisting program will serve as a prerequisite alternative to our board accredited Dental Radiology course. Through lecture, demonstration and laboratory sessions the student will be introduced to various aspects of dental procedures.
