The degree is an inter-disciplinary academic\nprogram of study in Ethnic Studies that enlarges students'\nunderstanding of Asian and Asian American communities\nwhile also providing a foundation of critical thinking to\nanalyze historical, political, cultural, aesthetic, and socio-\nlogical aspects of Asian and Asian American diasporas.\nStudents completing this degree will be well prepared for\nupper division coursework in Asian American Studies or a\nrelated field at a CSU.
