The Listening and Reading sections of the\ntest are composed of selected-response questions,\nwhereas the Writing and Speaking sections are\ncomposed of constructed-response tasks.\nAll questions and answer choices are in French and\nare based on various genres of authentic material,\nwhether written or in audio format, from various\nFrench-speaking regions of the world.\nThis is a computer-based test with sections of various\nlengths and time constraints. All sections of the test\nare separately timed. While the time allotted in the\nReading and Writing sections is managed by the\ncandidate, timing is computer-controlled throughout\nthe Listening and Speaking sections. Before beginning\nthe Listening section, the candidate will participate\nin a practice exercise reflecting the type of questions\nin the Listening section.
