A significant portion of graduate coursework may be taken as applied study, ie. instrumental or vocal lessons.\nReading\n\nThis concentration prepares educators to expand their expertise in literacy and to serve as reading coaches. The concentration also includes the coursework necessary for a P-12 license addition in Reading. The M.S.Ed. degree with Reading concentration is a 30-credit-hour program.\nSpecial Education\n\nThis concentration prepares educators to address the needs of students with mental, emotional, learning and other differences or disabilities. The concentration also includes the coursework necessary for a P-12 license addition Exceptional Needs, Mild Intervention. The M.S.Ed. degree with Special Education concentration is a 39-credit-hour program.\nTechnology\n\nThis concentration prepares educators to integrate technology into the classroom, with classes ranging from computer-based teaching methods to workshops in the use of multimedia in instructional design.
