The pharmacy technician student will identify the steps necessary to accurately fill prescriptions from start to finish under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The student will also receive instruction on obtaining correct patient information, reading and understanding a prescription, performing compounding tasks, and calculations used to fill prescriptions. Other subjects that will be covered include basic anatomy and physiology, terminology, fraud/abuse, and drug classifications.
