The Home Inspection Certification Program is 200 hours. It fulfills the 180-hour training requirement required for licensing as a NJ Home Inspector as governed by the NJ Administrative Code Title 13 Law and Public Safety chapter 40 Subchapter 15 Home Inspection Advisory Committee Sub Section 6. The program consists of 140 hours in the classroom, distributed over ten 14-hour weeks, and includes 40 hours of field mentoring under the supervision of a licensed NJ Home Inspector. Additionally, the program provides 20 hours dedicated to report writing and exam preparation, along with access to the NJAHI® Ultimate Home Inspector Practice Exam for the duration of the course. The class will be taught from the Carson and Dunlop - Principles of Home Inspection: Systems \u0026 Standards textbook (2018, 1080 pages) and the corresponding 2018 Carson and Dunlop - Principles of Home Inspections: Systems \u0026 Standards PowerPoint presentation, which includes homework assignments, test preparation materials, knowledge check quizzes, mid-terms, and final exams. License Exam fee is included. The program offers additional access to the online question database to help prepare for the Radon Measurement Technician and FAA Part 107 (Drone Pilot) licensing exams. It also includes access to online certification courses such as Oil Tank Sweeps, Pool \u0026 Spa Inspections, Wood-Destroying Insect (WDI) Inspections, and Mold Inspections. The program does not include tools or any additional application fees.
