If estimating is what interests you, the estimating track provides access to the software used in industry to estimate and bid work.  Both positions provide someone with the background in the industry to optimize your experience and change your career track.  \r\nThrough the use of instructional projects that replicate real world examples, students learn the tools and software to become part of the electrical team, including how to develop schedules and estimates; and how to design the electrical construction documents. Key themes include 3D drafting and lighting software for electrical design, planning and scheduling, and estimating costs of a project.\r\nCourses utilize tangible projects to examine best practices, industry codes and standards and applications with curriculum specifically designed to emulate various jobs performed in the professional work environment. Current industry software is used to create and manage documents for student projects.
