Graduates who pass the Registered Cardiac Sonographer exam will earn the RCS credential from CCI. Graduates who pass the SPI exam and the Adult Echocardiography specialty exam will earn the RDCS credential from ARDMS.  Eligibility requirements for the RCS and RDCS credentials are solely determined by the respective credentialing agencies and are subject to change at any time. The DCS program is taught using a\nhybrid/blended learning environment.\n\nStudents learn to perform cardiac examinations utilizing ultrasound equipment. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be proficient in noninvasive\ncardiac sonography. DCS Graduates will demonstrate behaviors consistent with professional standards and will meet employer expectations for an entry-level position.\n\nUpon satisfactory completion of this program, graduates will be prepared to take the Registered\nCardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification exam offered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Graduates with an associate degree will be eligible to take the Sonography\nPrinciples and Instrumentation (SPI) and Adult Echocardiography exams offered by the\nAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).\n\nAfter completing all program requirements, graduates will be awarded a Diagnostic Cardiac\nSonography Certificate.\n\nThis program will be delivered using hybrid learning.
