Located between New York City and Boston in the shoreline city of West Haven, the University is a diverse and vibrant community of more than 7,500 students from across the globe. STEM Designation: This program is STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math)-designated by the Department of Homeland Security. For more information, please see https://www.newhaven.edu/admissions/stem-designated-programs.phpThe B.S. Mathematics program prepares students to work competitively with mathematics in a variety of quantitative career settings such as business, economics, social, and natural sciences. Additionally,  the B.S. curriculum is tailored for students interested in pursuing graduate study in mathematics or other fields such as finance, computational science, or engineering.Program outcomes:1. Students will be able to solve problems involving non-trivial mathematical computations.2. Students will be able to write formal proofs of mathematical statements.3. Students will demonstrate connections among different areas of mathematics or with other disciplines. 4. Students will demonstrate a command of advanced mathematical topics.\r\n Students earning a B.S. degree with a major in mathematics must complete a minimum of 120 credits. Courses include the University Core Curriculum, and the courses requirements indicated below.
