The B.S. in Aviation is completed in two steps.  First, through UMA's Private Pilot course at the Brunswick Executive Airport.  This will be the first exposure of the student to the rigors of flight training and the student will learn the discipline that must be formed to succeed as a professional pilot. Remaining ratings (Instrument) and certifications (Commercial and Certified Instructor Pilot) are earned through a partnership with Maine Instrument Flight (MIF), located at the Augusta Airport.  UMA offers conccentrations in Flight Instructor and Unmanned Aircraft Systems.\n\nStudents will be trained for employment within the aviation industry.
