Successful Line Mechanics must be physically fit, hardworking, and able to follow instructions rapidly and proficiently. Mechanics can expect to work on many different sites doing a variety of jobs. Having skills in several areas, in addition to being able to communicate with people, is important. Program Competencies include: Technical communications, customer service, safety, proper operation of tools and equipment used in the natural gas industry, knowledge of the natural gas industry distribution and transmission systems.
